Following on from IGS' win in the 'Innovating Scotland' category at the 2019 VIBES Scottish Environment Business awards in November, CEO David Farquhar was invited to visit the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh this week to take part in a panel discussion alongside representatives of some of the other award-winning Scottish companies.
The VIBES celebration event was opened by Claudia Beamish MSP, with Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform, Roseanna Cunningham MSP delivering a ministerial address to attendees.
David Farquhar commented: "It was a pleasure to get together with some of the most forward-thinking minds in Scottish business where the environment and sustainability are concerned. You could really feel the commitment to change in the room.
"We only have one earth, and it is our duty to do everything we can to protect and preserve it for future generations. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at IGS, and it is wonderful to see so many Scottish businesses embracing it with the same passion we do."
Representatives of the organisations that took home prizes at November's VIBES awards ceremony took part in a panel discussion during the celebration event, exploring themes around environmental sustainability.
