Careers at IGS
We develop world-leading technology that changes how plants are grown. Achieving this takes clear thinking, strong collaboration, and people who approach challenges with purpose.
We look for problem solvers. People who think critically, question assumptions, and bring new ideas to the table. Our teams work together to solve complex challenges, share knowledge, and move projects forward with pace and clarity. We keep things practical, focused, and open, creating an environment where good ideas can come from anywhere.

Learning and development
Every permanent employee receives an annual £1,000 personal development fund. This supports professional growth in line with business priorities – whether that is building expertise in a current role or preparing for the next step.
This fund can be used for role-specific training or broader business skills, professional subscriptions, and shared learning platforms. We also support structured learning through modern and graduate apprenticeships, internships and work experience opportunities, and professional pathways such as the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).

Internships
An internship at IGS goes beyond a single project. It is an opportunity to understand how a technology business operates and how teams work together to solve real world challenges.
Interns spend time across our facilities, working alongside experienced colleagues and contributing from the start. This hands-on approach builds practical knowledge, confidence, and a clear view of what a career in this space can look like.
